I'm so proud of my little baby girl!
Baby Arwen cat has learned how to tinkle in the toilet! The human toilet! The litter boxes were clean! I kind of figured she might be a natural

Congrats! I've only known one other person to have a cat that uses the toilet. I've never heard of a dog using one. Norton pees on the toilet. Not quite the same thing. Shoes are a must-have item when visiting our bathroom.

But at least it's still in the bathroom; it's easier to clean up, no?

I had a cat that did that once... but I made the mistake of using a metal bowl as part of the training so she thought ALL metal bowls were OK to use even if not in the bathroom. Awkward if a popcorn bowl was left out overnight.
Still, I didn't have to scoop litter. |

Never had to worry about that with Shadow. He would never pee on his alternate water bowl.

I had a friend who trained her cat to use the toilet, but for some reason, he's only pee. He still used a litter box for defecating.
She said it caused a few odd moments at first....she'd be lying in bed half asleep, her husband beside her, the kids in their rooms...and suddenly she'd hear "someone" using the toilet! Gave her a few scares until she got used to it. |

That's what my Rowan would do too, it still cut down on litter cleaning and made getting samples for the vet much easier. Cats are odd creatures who know why they decide to 'partially train' or maybe they think they need to keep us trained.

She did this all on her own. I think she's been studying me. .. Hmmmm so what is mom doing? Then when I flush, she checks out that part as well. I know the last bit is not all that unusual
