SlideIT Keyboard with cut/paste on sale (root) - Page 3

Then you need to install the .apk (after moving to proper place)

Then you need to check the permissions and change if needed

Then reboot (regardless if you needed to change permissions or not)

Then go to NOOKcolor Tools (choose keyboard)

What is supposed to show up in Choose keyboard? It says Select input method and only shows Multi-touch keyboard. No other options.

Edit - don't know if it's supposed to be or not but SlideIT is not in the app drawer or extras.

Is com.dasur.slidit-copy.apk in the /system/app directory?

It can't be within a folder.

In Root Explorer it's in System/App (along witht the list of other apks) and when it's clicked it says This is a package installer. What would you like to perform? Cancel, View, Install. I had clicked install and it went through what looked like a normal install process.

Yes, it's supposed to show in your list of apps. If it's not then it didn't install. You have to reboot for it to show in Extras, but it should show in your app drawer without rebooting.

You paid for the app, so we gotta get this working.

You narrowed it down to it not appearing in the list of apps. That explains why the other stuff isn't working.

When I installed mine it didn't show up in my apps until I changed the User permissions. I rebooted then it appeared as an app.

In Root Explorer, click Mount R/W, long press com.dasur-slideit-copy.apk, permissions. Everything checked except others - write.

That's fine. Go into Astro (Manage Applications) and see if it appears in the list of installed apps.

It's in the system/app, but open app manager only has install. No Uninstall.

Tried to install and it showed up in the ap drawer after installing, but not after rebooting.

I'm asking this specific question for a reason. Use Astro for this.

When I install something it asks if I want to open it or if I'm done. Do you get this prompt?
