Preview books before sending to device

Is it possible to view a book in Calibre as it will appear on the actual device? The built-in viewer is good for checking for typos and such, but it's impossible to tell how margins and line breaks will appear on the device.

I'd like to be able to quickly convert and verify margins, line breaks, etc... without having to do the conversion, transfer the book to the device, view it, and then repeat the whole process to tweak margins by one pixel or something

No (mostly )

Every device has its foibles (or lousy programming )
The only true test is the device. The next best is the desktop version of the application (even they don't even guarantee getting the same results)
