Sync Problem with Ebooklibrary software

Hi everyone, I just purchased a Sony PRS 700, and after installing it on my computer and turning the device on, everything worked fine.
However, when I began to transfer files, problems came up.

First, txt files dont seem to transfer into the library, it just attempts to transfer for about 5 min, then under status it says "Completed - transferred 0 of 1 files"
However, if I convert the txt file into a PDF it works.

Second, I had a MS Word file that I attempted to transfer, and once again it gave me the same message...

Does anyone know why this is happening? Other Word files have successfully transferred, and only PDFs seem to be working 100% percent..
