PRS-600 screen damaged
Hello
My ebook (touch prs-600) was in my bag and I accidently dropped my bag onto the floor. I did not think anything of it however when I checked later that night I discovered that my ebook was damaged. The left side of the screen was fine but the other side has a number of dark patches and lines that make the ebook reader unusable. I sent it back to Sony and paid the required fee to get an estimate about how much it would cost only for them to tell me that it was going to cost £206. I pointed out that a new one costs £159. As a result I am waiting for them to send it back to me. Does anybody have any idea about any other companies or shops where I can send it to get it repaired...(I'm from London) or alternatively does anybody have any idea about how I could possibly repair this myself as I want to read my books again but am not willing to be ripped off by Sony. Thanks in advance |

I would check ebay for a used reader where the display works and something else is broken. So you could exchange the display to your reader.
I'm not sure though if there are defective units on ebay. And if so, my guess would be that most of them will have defective displays, too. |
