I haven't looked to see what the link says, but I'm guessing it's the species in Gippsland, Victoria, Australia. The longest earthworm I ever saw (I don't think that species) was about 1.5 metres long, and either as thick as your thumb or your pinky, depending on degree of stretch. We found it on my Nan & Pop's property up here in Queensland (which is why I don't think it was the Gippsland species).
