SD - memory stick queries

Does the reader come with any SD/memory stick cards?

Is there a diff. between the 2 slots/cards?

The maximum capacity for each slot?

Thanks.

No cards were included with my PRS-700.

From the PRS-700 User's Manual:
Quote:
  • An operation check is performed when using a Sony's "Memory Stick Duo" Memory Card of up to 16 GB, however, operation of all "Memory Stick Duo" is not guaranteed.
  • An operation check is performed when using an SD Memory Card of up to 16 GB, however, operation of all SD Memory Cards is not guaranteed.
I'll look around the forum and see where it is that the PRS-700 User Manual can be downloaded.

*edit*
PRS-700 User Manual available from this post.

The wiki page for the Sony 700:
https://wiki.mobileread.com/wiki/PRS700

I don't believe that it comes with the cards.

Here's the wiki entry on SD cards:
https://wiki.mobileread.com/wiki/SD_card

and on the Sony memory stick:
https://wiki.mobileread.com/wiki/Sony_Memory_Stick

Some of the information in these threads may well be relevant:
https://www.mobileread.com/forums/showthread.php?t=8011
https://www.mobileread.com/forums/showthread.php?t=7435
However, they were written with the 505 in mind.

I hope this helps.

The "cards" it comes with are just demo models. I think its so that dust doesn't accumulate in case u don't use any cards

They are just blanks; they're there just to keep "matter" from falling into the slots & damaging the contacts.
