Because LuLu (a self publishing house) only offers PDF as an ebook format. I have emailed them a number of times to offer other formats. At least the few ebooks I have gotten from them are NOT DRM'd...

I should think the question is "PDF sized for what size screen" ? If it is set to produce a properly sized screen (so that one doesn't get microscopic print) that might be bearable. But you wouldn't be able to CHANGE the font size, which is one of the high points of an e-ink reader.

Oh, my golly, guys. Why the big fuss about the pdf? I just saved it as text and copied it into a Sony sized rtf template in MS Word. It's not perfect but it's good enough for personal use.
