Question Kobo Glo working with dictionaries

I've found this on the kobo help:
Your Kobo eReader has a built-in dictionary that you can use while reading Kobo eBooks.

The dictionary may not work if you're reading books from other sources, and does not work when reading PDFs.
While reading a book, press the Menu button.
Select Dictionary.
Use the Navigation pad to move around on the page to select a word. The selected word will be underlined.
Select the word you're curious about.
Press the middle of the Navigation pad.
Your eReader will look up the word and display the definition.
When you're done with the dictionary, press the Back button to return to reading.

My question: is this the state of art on the kobo Glo? What about translation from english to german/italian.
Thanks for help
Ron

You are misinformed.

You just press the word, and the dictinonary opens. You could install any dictionary you want. There is bilingual dictionaries too.

Hi Ron,

Check out this link:
https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=232883
There are a lot of dictionaries there. Beware that for the non-kobo-dictionaries you cannot type a word to search, only select a word in the text.

Kind regards,
Ruud
