According to the press release, some Pocketbook Pros are to be sold with TXTR firmware. Unclear if it is *instead* of the standard firmware or in *addition*. It might make a difference in Europe.

This means that Pocketbook ties itself to a vaporware dealer for its firmware. As if the firmware updates weren't enough delayed already...

No, there won't be any txtr firmware on PocketBook. What this news mean, in humanspeak, is that txtr will use our hard- and software, put their own shop software into the device and sell it as txtr edition to big clients.
