Kindle Image Optimisation for all devices?

Hi,

I was wondering if there was a way to format an image that would work well on all Kindle devices?

I usually use 72ppi and 640px width to make the image full width, but now viewing in kindle fire the image are coming out very small.

Thanks
Simon

ppi means nothing on a screen display. 640px is 640px on all screens so it would look small on a high definition screen. You need to make the images big enough for the largest screen or nearly so. Too big a picture will generally be shrunk to fit the screen. It is possible to try and stretch the picture but quality suffers that direction.

I've noticed that sometimes when image is very big pre-Paperwhite Kindles have issues with downscaling and it blur image a little.

Keep that in mind during testing.
