Is there a way to create new users and passwords in the built-in server?

I am trying to develop a pdf partiture library in the conservatoire I work using Calibre, but I would need the server feature to support different users in order to give every teacher a different nick and password, is it possible?

Edit: Sorry for my broken english.

Not directly, you can put the calibre server behind an apache instance asa reverse proxy and then use apache authentication.

Remind me - is it also possible to run multiple server instances from command line and specify different libraries and/or different user/pass, provided you run each instance on a different port? I vaguely recall someone saying this was possible.

Thank you. To the original poster: I've also used "orenosp" in a reverse proxy setup to do this. Setup was easier than my Apache setup. There are probably several others.
