I'm sorry I don't recall reading your question before.

VK should be comfortably/efficiently callable from:
1) search
2) BrowseFolders (new folder/rename/etc)
3) dictionary
and it shouldn't cover entire screen, think of it as popup dialog (either modal, or not) shown on top of another app.

Dictionary should also eventually get integrated into main.xml instead of being loaded every time from external source. I am not sure I know which changes to dictionary you mean, if it is all contained within corresponding xml/js files, then it's not a big deal to include it into the next release.

At the moment I don't have time to look into it/integrate it, but I'll certainly use your work.

I can't check your code at the moment (no 505 around), but don't see why you should stop. If you are doing something along the "kinda requirements", it will nicely integrate, without serious changes.

6. Then Flash the image (press 6).

That should do it, remove SD card, and allow it to reboot.

dwanthy, I tried this (because I wanted to revert to my previously used kBookIcon.png and kBookAssets.png after installing PRS+).

I get the message "Sorry, this firmware version is not supported: 505.1.1.00.18040" when I press 5. Any ideas as to what I have done wrong would be gratefully received!

Further question re: PRS+.

How does the dictionary work? I have installed it and can launch it whilst reading, but I can't see how you enter any letters in the search field other than those in the middle column of the selector (i.e. I can only select 'b' from the first row, 'e' from the second and so on).

Again, have I misunderstood anything here?

Hi Bilbo,
Use the page forward/back buttons in the middle of the right-hand edge of the reader. You can see a small white diamond under the character columns which indicates which column is current.

OK - I worked it out after a bit of trial and error so no need to reply.

Now, after a prolonged struggle with the world's worst UI, Gimp, I have a 505 looking just how I would like it.

If you look back a few pages in this thread, you will see I had the same problem.

One of the replies to my question ( I think there were three) included an attachment and instructions. Download the attachment and follow the instructions and you should be able to successfully install PRS+
