Mobi catalog for kindle failure
Is there a way to make a catalog update when I connect my kindle? Now every time I connect and add a new book I need to make a new catalog. Minor edit would work way better.
Or any other way to deal with this catalog for browsing in kindle? Any suggestions how to make it work best? Also it seems I am unable to create mobi catalog. Could it be because i changed tags to hierarchical. And how would they look in the catalog? Ugly like this Book.Type.Anthology, Genre.Action? Or split at every "."? Or even hierarchically somehow? Apparently the problem is the genres. I have some like "Action" and "Action?" when I'm not sure. That gives a warning and a catalog creation fails
Ok.Still catalog fails. Even after I removed the tags with "?" Quote:

open a bug report and attach the metadata.db file from your library.

I can't repeat the error anymore. Did a bunch of catalogs and no errors. But in descriptions there are no comments (no blurbs). Formats, cover publish year etc are all there but not comments.
And I get no error. Update. No errors now and description on too. Apparently description note was empty. No idea what it is and how it's different from the merge with comments. But seems to be working fine now. Update2: It seems that the merge with comments makes it ignore the comments and not the description note. When I select shelf column which has hierarchical tags. Other make it ok. So the problem is hierarchical tags probably when you want to merge them with comments. Last edited by Noughty; 02-10-2012 at 08:33 AM. |

Just as I decided to use catalog for managing kindle content I see that it can't take you to the book from the catalog. I'm somehow confused because I thought it was capable of this. Don't know what I was doing but I thought that once I opened a book from the catalog. So now, I'm not sure...
Any other ideas and suggestions for using catalogs in kindle? |
