The Soloist, by Steve Lopez

Oliver Sacks mentions this book in Musicophilia. I searched and see that it is available as an ebook, but for a hefty price (presumably because of it's re-release pending a movie version).

I'm on a strict budget these days, but would spring for this book if it is as good as it seems to be. If you can't trust Oliver Sacks for book recommendations, who can you?

Has anyone here read this?
