Anybody tried Firerfox on the Fire?

Firefox now has the program for Android. I've used FF for years and would never touch IE if I can help it, so would like to try this.

Searched for it on the Fire, and it seems it may not be as simple as one would think. Before I do any more exploring, has anybody tried this?

If so, how did you get it downloaded and working, and how do you like it?

I've gone back to using Silk. Opera last update made it screwy. It's like it can't detect sites correctly anymore.

I gave it a whirl. It's alright. I still like Dolphin a bit more, though.

I tried it, but then I love how Chrome works so nicely between my KF (under Jelly Bean), Samsung phone, iPhone, and Mac. Universal won over the plugins.

I recently installed Firefox on the Nexus 7. I'm unsure why but webpage text is clearer and more distinct in my humble opinion for what I witnessed so far with that browser on that tablet.

That said, I am going to give it a whirl on the KF but I'm not rooted so maybe I can't if it isn't in the appstore. Cannot hurt and I'd say just install it on yours and see what you think (but since I saw you inquired about installing it I guess it isn't available in the appstore).

I was using Dolphin but more and more I just have been going back to Silk which comes with the KF. I haven't even been using a different launcher and believe me the carousel was a big hot button for me initially.
