Are there titles they've pulled that are now back up?

I know the Stand isn't back up, at least not yet. Can't imagine it taking long to flag a file to disable TTS.

With the Author's Guild's complaints about TTS I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of publishers do the same thing as Random House, at least initially.

Express your displeasure sure, but you'll get more traction if you're polite about it.

FYI, looks like the K version might be going back up soon. It has an entry at Amazon again, just says 'Not yet available'.

It may have just been a glitchy file - someone on another forum posted that turning a particular page near the end of The Stand kept making their Kindle lock up.

I had this particular problem. I was about 90% through The Stand when it locked up my Kindle. I was then unable to do anything with my Kindle until I took The Stand off of it. Voila, everything else worked. After going round and round with Kindle Tech Support trying pretty much everything I had already tried they told me they would work on it and get back to me. About a week and a half later they finally admitted that the file was corrupt and that the publisher was working on it, but they had no idea how long it would take them to correct the issue.
