[Android App] Calibre Companion - future ability?

How feasible would it be to include a link to calibre's content-server and then provide a list which we could then download the books directly from the tablet into the Companions database?

We are going to add something like this, what we have been calling the "pull client" because the user would "pull" books from a server to CC. We are still debating exactly how to do it, but we are leaning toward using something like an OPDS client. Using a standard protocol would permit adding books to CC from any OPDS server, not just calibre's. The downside is that the interface forced by OPDS can be a bit clunky.

We hope to have something available by the end of the month.
