Verizon/LTE I don't know. Don't live in the US. From all reports the battery life isn't great for these LTE phones? And it would also create segmentation between their US partners which they may or may not wish? I could see Apple going another cycle before LTE but I wouldn't be surprised either way. re: Android 4, isn't it primarily about bringing the phone versions in line with the Honeycomb tablet orientated release? |

So is there little known at this time because Google hasn't released any details to anyone? Or are developers all busily working with it but respect Google's NDAs to leak anything (unlike Apple, where it seems every blogger has dev access )

My understanding is Apple will not support LTE with the iPhone 4 partly because AT&T isn't there yet and partly because Apple likes to let network issues settle a bit first. LTE is still in infancy globally. Nor does it have to support LTE this iteration. 3G/4G HSPA running to 14 mbps or 21 mbps is good enough. No one is going to avoid iPhone 5 in October because it "isn't LTE".

I suspect it's because of Google's model. They work closely with one vendor making their ideal "Google Experience" phone/tablet. Then release the source to others. You just don't have as many leaks when you're dealing with one company. Where as iPhone is dealing with many. In this case they are working with Samsung to product the Nexus Prime(Droid Prime for Verizon) Apple hasn't been quite with iOS 5. =X= Last edited by =X=; 08-30-2011 at 09:11 PM. |

It's not dpi at all. It's ppi. Pixels per inch vs. dots per inch. It really is 300+ ppi, but that's not nearly the same as 300 dpi, which is high quality printing. |
