They've been playing with this stuff for a while, presumably trying to get it better and better, I wouldn't be surprised if they've already tried most of the ideas we're coming up with. On the other hand, coming up with the ideas is a lot of fun.

The thing is that even reading grey on white is better than reading dark grey on pale gray. Just try a charcoal drawing for a comparison.

Im not so convinced that a whiter background is what we need.
White on Black is far easier on the eyes than black on white.

I disagree!
As one who has used the first PCs where the only displays were white on black or orange on greenish black, I was totally exhilarated by the first Mac's use of the opposite.

Try this site that way, if it's possible!
