block ads in opera mobile
I've been using opera mobile the last couple days and I like it the best of the android browsers I've tried (the built-in one, dolphin). This lifehacker post explains how to block ads using its url filter feature. Very nice!

it slows the browser down, especially the startup and shutdown stages. if you're rooted, I recommend AdFree instead, which takes those same URL entries and adds them to the HOSTS table for blocking also means the standard browser gets the same benefits.
