360 Vs 301 lines per screen?
Hi All,
So I'm trying to decide which pocketbook I will choose when I win the winter contest and thought I'd ask a question to all you PB afficiandos. I was wondering how much text per page difference there is between the 360 and 301? Currently I have a BeBook 1(6" screen) and generally use size 12 font. However sometimes when I'm tired I bump the font up to size 14.( size 13 would probably do but the + button on the side automatically ups the font size by 2 with OI and that is much easier than going into the formatting section to change the font) I find at size 14 there is just barely enough words per page that it doesn't completely frustrate me turning pages too often and was thinking there smaller screen might be a problem Also, for anyone who has used both, which would you say is better ergonomically? Cheers, PKFFW |

I have used 6inch Sony reader and 5inch PocketBook 360 and I strongly prefer PB360.
The screen has much finer resolution, so it can bear smaller letters while maintaining readability. On PocketBook you can fine tune the look of the text on the screen. You will spend first couple of weeks trying out lots of combinations of various fonts, line spacings, justification, font sizes... I can squeeze more text on PB360 screen that I could on PRS-500. |

The same things, dwscribed by Kacir, could also be done with PB 301...

Thanks for the replies guys.
So what's the 360 like compared to the 301 ergonomics wise? Is one superior to the other or is it more a matter of choice? |

Strictly a matter of choice, honestly, except for the small fact that MM is SEXY looking and features a hardshell cover and is a lot more mobile, but then again, I might not be totally objective so there you go!

And yes, as mtravellerh put it: PB 360 is much sexier)) I never got a question from anybody in NYC subway about 301, but when I got my 360 out, attach a cover to the back side, somebody definitely would ask, what I am reading and what kind of a device is this))))) Last edited by Yar-PocketBooker; 12-07-2009 at 12:38 AM. |

Thanks again for the responses.
I've decided once I win the winter contest I shall give the 360 a try. Cheers, PKFFW |
