Gerade zu Ende gelesen, und es ist ein geniales, geniales Buch !!!! wer Englisch gern liest sollte es unbedingt bald lesen, ich weiss nicht, ob die Übersetzung schon zur Verfügung steht, wenn nicht unbedingt sich den Name notieren und auf die Wunschliste setzen.

Ich bin begeistert (und von Hilary Mantel's zweiten Booker Prize heute auch, ihre Biographie von Thomas Cromwell ist ein Meisterwek).

Ich hatte dazu heute auch einen Artikel gelesen und mir das erste Buch von Mantel schon mal als sample auf mein Gerät geschickt.

Du kannst ruhig beide Bücher von Mantel auch holen, die sind exzellente, diese 3 Bücher nehmen die ersten 3 Plätze auf meine Best Of Liste von den Büchern, die ich in 2012 gelesen habe.

Bei Mantel musst Du nur auf folgendes aufpassen : Mit "Er" ist fast immer Thomas Cromwell gemeint, egal wen gerade in Dialog besprochen hat. Es ist wichtig sich dies zu merken, sonst wird es schnell verwirrend.

Der Mr Penumbra ist viel leichter geschrieben, aber die Geschichte ist "enchanting" (ich weiss nicht, wie dieses Wort auf Deutsch heisst).

Die Beschreibung bei Amazon erinnert mich gefühlsmäßig ein wenig an Bücher von Carlos Ruiz Zafon, den ich sehr gerne lese. Danke für die Empfehlung, ich nehme es mal auf die Wunschliste in der Hoffnung, dass der Preis sich der 10-Euro-Marke nähern wird, die bei Ebook-käufen meine Schallgrenze darstellt.
