Feature Request: Update tags/metadata from filename
I have a feature request:
I want to manually or automatically update tags based on filename (folder structure even better). It should be fully customizable like #Mediamonkey. MUST SEE Ex. http://www.mediamonkey.com/wiki/inde...le_Formats/4.0 If you haven't used Mediamonkey see: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UYETP...eature=related You can rename from filename or rename filename from tags. |

This can already be done. But, it is done when you add the book to calibre. To do it, go into the preferences, then "Adding Books" and uncheck the first option. Further down the page is s regex for getting the metadata from the file name. There is a lot of discussion here about this with different examples for different filenames.
