All my ebooks are pdf's and chm's. I also wanted to read medical text books in my reader. So I loaded my books in an SD card and took it to Sony style ( Dolphin mall Miami ). They allowed me to play with their reader ( 600 ). I did not use any software ( sucks in mac ) to modify the ebooks. I directly loaded them into my card using drag and drop using my mac. They reflowed pretty decent in the reader except for multi column pdf text books. The work around for them is to use the zoom feature and read instead of changing the font size. However when I move to next page it goes back to the original font size. I have to zoom in again to read. Pictures are pretty decent if I zoom in. So I finally bought the Sony 600 and I am very happy. Sorry I cannot comment about Nook.
Regards,
RJ
PS Sony does not support CHM

Update

Sony 600 also supports my native language fonts ( Tamil ) in pdf format. It's an added bonus for me.
I really like the highlighting capacity of my 600. Dictionary is awesome.
After couple of hours of reading glare doesnot bother me. I wish I can find a light for my reader to read in the dark.
Regards,
RJ
