If you arent using an SD card then it indicatesthere is a problem on the main memory of the device. Short of doing a reset there is no way to fix that. You can instead use one of the wireless transfer methods descibed here: https://manual.calibre-ebook.com/faq...kindle-fire-hd

new device integration with Calibre
Not sure where I am at all,
I have 2 devices, a Windows laptop running Windows 10 & calibre 6.8 and a Google Pixel4a phone running Android & moon reader. Connecting to the content server from Moon reader gives a timeout after a short time. What am I doing wrong? I don't believe I have odd devices. I would love some help to get something, anything at all, moving. Here is the debug output: calibre 6.8 embedded-python: True Windows-10-10.0.19044-SP0 Windows ('64bit', 'WindowsPE') ('Windows', '10', '10.0.19044') Python 3.10.1 Windows: ('10', '10.0.19044', 'SP0', 'Multiprocessor Free') Interface language: en_GB USB devices on system: (USBDevice(vendor_id=0x8087 product_id=0x24 bcd=0x0 devid=usb\vid_8087&pid_0024&rev_0000 devinst=2), USBDevice(vendor_id=None product_id=None bcd=None devid=usb\root_hub20&vid8086&pid1c2d&rev0004 devinst=3), USBDevice(vendor_id=0x5ac product_id=0x12a0 bcd=0x410 devid=usb\vid_05ac&pid_12a0&rev_0410 devinst=4), USBDevice(vendor_id=0x147e product_id=0x2016 bcd=0x2 devid=usb\vid_147e&pid_2016&rev_0002 devinst=5), USBDevice(vendor_id=None product_id=None bcd=None devid=usb\root_hub20&vid8086&pid1c26&rev0004 devinst=6), USBDevice(vendor_id=0xa5c product_id=0x217f bcd=0x748 devid=usb\vid_0a5c&pid_217f&rev_0748 devinst=7), USBDevice(vendor_id=0x8087 product_id=0x24 bcd=0x0 devid=usb\vid_8087&pid_0024&rev_0000 devinst=8), USBDevice(vendor_id=0x5ac product_id=0x12a0 bcd=0x410 devid=usb\vid_05ac&pid_12a0&rev_0410&mi_00 devinst=1)) No disabled plugins Looking for devices of type: MTP_DEVICE List of WPD PNP ids: ['\\\\?\\usb#vid_05ac&pid_12a0&mi_00#7&aeebc3&0&000 0#{6ac27878-a6fa-4155-ba85-f98f491d4f33}'] MTP device: \\?\usb#vid_05ac&pid_12a0&mi_00#7&aeebc3&0&0000#{6 ac27878-a6fa-4155-ba85-f98f491d4f33} {'device_version': '9.3.6', 'friendly_name': 'Apple iPhone', 'has_bulk_properties': True, 'has_storage': True, 'manufacturer_name': 'Apple Inc.', 'model_name': 'Apple iPhone', 'protocol': 'MTP: 1.00', 'serial_number': 'DX4LQ7B2FMLD', 'storage': [{'capacity': 7927234560, 'capacity_objects': 0, 'description': 'Internal Storage', 'filesystem': 'DCF', 'free_objects': 2028, 'free_space': 3042861056, 'id': 'sFEEDFACE', 'name': 'Internal Storage', 'rw': True, 'type': 'fixed_ram'}], 'type': 'unknown'} Not a suitable MTP device, ignoring No suitable MTP devices found Looking for devices of type: SMART_DEVICE_APP All IP addresses {'{86631B1F-9A27-4877-B75E-C9F447780FB2}': [{'addr': '192.168.1.11', 'netmask': '255.255.255.0', 'broadcast': '192.168.1.255'}], '{DB29A0D8-C21D-11EA-8CB5-806E6F6E6963}': [{'addr': '127.0.0.1', 'netmask': '255.0.0.0', 'broadcast': '127.255.255.255'}]} No device is connected Looking for devices...
