A mystery novelette.
On the eve of his wedding, during a house-party, Mr Sinclair shows the ladies a small antique Venetian box, carved from a single amethyst. Inside is a vial, containing a drop of the deadliest poison known to Man. The box goes missing. Can it be that one of the ladies is either suicidal or murderous? The next morning a woman is found dead…

(There’s a moral here. Wash all your bottles. Hygiene saves a lot of trouble all round.)
