Nintendo DSi XL as an eReader ?

Ok I've tried to find out but am still unclear,

Does the DSi XL have ereader software built in ?

If so what formats can it use ?

Or is it just the cartridge "100 Classic Books" which works on all DS,

And has anyone Used a DSi XL as an eReader, Opinions ?

I have a DsiXL. To my knowledge it doesnt have an in-built reader.
It may allow reading text/html type by using the file:// url in the browser.

however, a homebrew application is available: dslibris.

You need a flashcart for this..using seems simple.
But the brightness/glare was too high for me to consider using it as a regular reader.

Thanks so much both, for very full information, details and instructions,

I have a Sony PRS-600 and love it,

My wife has a DS Lite, loves it, and discovered reading on the 100 Classic Books cart, but would love to read much more on the DSi XL bigger screen, especially my library of ePub files,

We will look into all you've said, Thanks Again,
