It probably wouldn't hurt if someone updated (or at least checked) that information file.

That's why I have connected a charger cable in the meantime. Doesn't hurt.

I am using a simple shell script in combination with fbink and suspend to RAM.

That might not work all that well for an indoors clock, but there's still the solar option left: a solar-charger/USB thingy that can masquerade as the back panel.

I seem to remember a couple of people having done something like that in the past. Might even have been replacing the battery entirely, instead of going with a USB charger?
