Has anyone confirmed that these ARE app-locked? I'm reading a couple of things that lead me to believe it might be like Copia. Copia uses ADE, but for the social features, you need their app. I see Librify gift cards at a discount in the Cartwheel app as well.

i feel sure you're exactly right. at $8.99 per month for 1 book per month, they sure aren't aiming at readers.
