Have they put out a change log for 2.01 yet?

The only thing I've noticed is that the screen refreshes when awakening to get rid of the words that haven't fully disappeared.

Among other things, they've added a watchdog daemon to help make sure that the Kindle can recover gracefully if something awful happens to the OS.
They patched an awful lot of files. |

i have run md5 sums on the source code off of amazons site and so far non of those files are changed, except i am still scanning the kernel source. it takes forever to scan through that many files.

I'm surprised they haven't posted a change log yet. I'm curious to see what they've actually gone and changed.

well for the update they did very little in regards to GPLed code. they did a few file changes to the kernel, but mostly only a few lines and optimizing a few things such as the ink display and how things work during sleep mode.
it looks like the 2.01 patch was actually done around the 12th of february and they packaged up all the legal GPL required stuff on the 20th for both versions. i am guessing new hardware production will have 2.01 pre installed in the next few weeks to month of delivery. on the non GPL side of things many files were changed as Jesse has found. one interesting thing is the busybox package was updates but the source was not. they must have done some small changes in the compile options of the source. |

It means that the update did not provide any feature update. A change log will not be interesting.
