Boyd, Mary Stuart: A Versailles Christmas-Tide (Illustrated) v1, 15 Apr 2014

A Versailles Christmas-Tide (1901) was written by Mary Stuart Boyd (born Mary Kirkwood, 1860-1937), and illustrated by her husband, famed Punch illustrator Alexander Stuart Boyd (1854-1930).

MobileRead member Seabound originally uploaded this in LRF format on 23 December 2008, and I have converted it to ePub and Kindle formats.

It also contains some bits of factual and speculative retelling of French history, a topic for which Mrs. Boyd seems to hold strong opinions.

The book is deliciously and generously illustrated by the author's husband, A.S. Boyd. I find him to be a very talented illustrator, and his 53 illustrations accompanying this book made reading the book quite enjoyable, and made vivid the Versailles of 1900.
Enjoy!
