Thanks to whoever clued me into books on the knob (was it Daffy?).

Anyway Books on the Knob pointed out a special in .mobi and .pdf format. There are five books, a novella, and two short stories available for a package price of $9.99.

This series is the source material for a tv series in production. It is about a fixer who manages things between the human race and the vampire race. In this universe, vampires aren't undead. They are a separate race that lives in secret alongside the humans.

Thanks for that. They sound like a good series and readers have given the paperback version pretty high ratings.
Only having pdf and mobi formats available sucks

but the price is right
