n00b ! iphone & calibre
hi- i have the iphone 3gs- i am trying to use calibre and somehow my iphone is not being detected ! it just doesnt show - i have done all what is in the FAQ's but still no luck !!! what should i do ???because i am bookless and lost
hence n00b !!! |

The iPhone is not supported directly in the interface. You will need to use Stanza and the content server. See this tutorial for more information.

Setting up Calibre's content server is a breeze; and much more convenient than using Stanza's "open each book on the desktop" approach.
I do find it odd that no one is using the 30 pin connector/USB to transfer files-I thought iPhone 3.0 specifically opened up the dock connector for apps...maybe that is in Stanza's future plans (that hopefully Calibre can leverage off) |

This is still forbidden by Apple. All that has been opened up is connecting custom hardware via the USB connector.
