Among a few things I would like for my Kobo Aura, the most important is fully functional stats for standard epubs, and/or sideloaded kepubs (converted via Calibre).

Quick menu for light adjustment

Kobo Glo. firmware v2.8.1

I would like to be able to quickly adjust the light brightness as I use this feature extensively when transitioning from a dark environment to a medium bright environment and outdoor sunshine. Also if the brightness is set to high prior to sleep and the unit is then activated in a dark environment the light is overly bright, so a quick way of dimming and brightening the display would be welcome, and please place the menu at the bottom so that I don't smudge the center of the page/screen with my grubby fingers.

or....

Build in a photo electric cell which will automatically brighten and dim the display according to ambient light, i.e. display brightness set to 25% when reading in a dark environment, the photo electric cell then automatically brightens the display as the ambient light increases and to "min dim" when the ambient light is 50% brighter than the Reference (25%) display brightness to conserve battery power

There has been some discussion on reading Persian books here. From memory, you need to sideload an appropriate font and choose that when reading the book. It might also work better if you sideload as a kepub. Do a search to see the best options.

1. Storing my library in the cloud - including all books, not only bought in Kobo store.

2. Storing in the cloud all bookmarks/clippings/highlighted text

3. Correct support of fb2 files.

4. Syncing of reading position/bookmarks/clippings for all books across hardware readres and reading apps (Kobo Reader on Android device for instance)

Display battery charge state on sleep page when unplugged from charger.

It's great that the charge state is displayed on the sleep screen when the charger is connected, but surely it's more important to know the charge state with the "sleep screen" whilst unconnected. With sleep screen and no book cover, only "sleeping" is displayed bottom left of the screen, this is great for conserving power, but please display the charge state as well below "sleeping"), that way it's easy to ascertain the "gas in the tank" before embarking on a marathon.

AND....

Please make the battery state icon in the main menu larger as it's difficult to distinguish between charging and charged, tiny tiny little arrow versus tiny tiny little plug in the charge state indicator. Which is which ?, show some foresight for us older viewers :-)

Improve resolution and detail of Cover Art

The resolution, dynamic range and grey scale of the cover art on the home screen isn't sufficient, please improve cover art resolution so that one can discern what is depicted on the covers.

or

Give the user the option of customising the tiles of the home screen, I would rather have four covers that I can clearly see the details of, than 9 tiles of indistinctness whereupon I have to open the books to determine what they are.

What I really want is for the the device to use the entire screen when reading comics. Basically change the margins of all the borders not just the sides. Because instead of using the full 1024 pixels it only uses 920 of them. Thats a huge waste. It should just overlap the menu when you tap the screen, instead of always cropping it away.

Show page numbers in the table of contents, the way old Sony PRS (pre-Android) did.

I know, but it's a pain in the neck to do that for every epub. Native Persian support will be the best

Not really a pain. You only need to sideload the font once, and if you are consistently reading with that font, any books you open will automatically default to that font (not sure what happens with books with embedded fonts).
