SHORTCOVERS
Does shortcovers edit the books that it sells? Have noticed a large discrepancy in the number of pages between the books I've bought from them and the books I've bought from other vendors.Or is this just a difference in formatting?

Hi Hiind,
We never modify the content of the books we sell - customers (not to mention publishers) would get very grumpy at us if we were to do that. Are you seeing a discrepancy in an ePub or in our mobile applications?

Is there a particular book that looks odd? I'd be happy to look deeper for you, but I'm 100% sure we don't modify epubs.

There is a difference between how LRF/LRX ebooks count pages (based on the current font size, one page per screen) and how Adobe Digital Editions counts ePub pages (by default every 1024 characters, no matter what the font size is). It is possible to override Adobe's default by adding page information to the ePub, but this is rarely done.

shortcover's a hit
i like shortcovers
they are cheaper than most of the other publishers and the homepage is nice to look at and easy to manage.
shortcovers go on !

Sony, at present, only sells lrx ebooks. Your first example from shortcovers is an ePub ebook which, as wallcraft stated, probably defaults to the 1024 characters per page.
