After you run 3.3.0.bat, just copy and paste the messages you see in the terminal window.

Did you edit the libnickel.so.1.0.0.patch file? If so could you zip the file and post it as an attachment here?

Here is another error, the first one seems related to directory 3.3.0_target

If fact if i create it, that error desapear

Which editor did you use to edit the file? Something has been added to the beginning of the first line, which is tripping up the pa32.exe program.

After reading this post I went back & edited the .patch file with Notepad++ instead of WordPad and that seemed to fix the issue for me!

OK I think I can guess what might have happened: I added the Cyrillic keyboard patch which has some unicode characters in the comments, and this might have caused some editors to add a unicode marker at the beginning of the file, which the pa32.exe program doesn't expect.

I've attached a copy of the libnickel.so.1.0.0.patch file that doesn't contain the Cyrillic keyboard patch, could those who are getting an error message (that the first line of libnickel.so.1.0.0.patch cannot be parsed) try using this file instead and let me know if it fixes the problem?

I've removed all the unicode characters from the *.patch files and updated the patch_kobo_330.zip attached to post #1.

I think this will prevent the error that results if the *.patch files are edited with an editor such as Notepad/Wordpad which inserts a unicode marker at the beginning of the file, but if in doubt use Notepad++ to edit the files in Windows.

Wouldn't it be nice if the program checked the configuration file for a byte order mark, and removed it if it is the utf8 byte order mark or rejects the file if it is another byte order mark (or handles the encoding)?

It would be nice, but I'd have to learn what all that means first, and then work out how to do it. :-)
