Eliot, Charles W. (editor): Harvard Classics 46: English Plays, v1, 1 July 07

English Plays

Edward The Second—Christopher Marlowe

The Tragedy of Hamlet Prince of Denmark— William Shakespeare

The Tragedy of King Lear— William Shakespeare

The Tragedy of Macbeth— William Shakespeare

The Tempest— William Shakespeare

Another volume of English plays. This time with a bunch of plays by an obscure writer from Stratford-on-Avon who seemed to have a thing for women obsessed with "damn spots."

For those keeping score on the series, this is number 35 of 49 for 71.43%.

Woohoo! Busting right on past that 2/3 mark, even with the extra difficulty of formatting plays!

I didn't want you to run out of things to read this weekend since there are no Steelers games on TV. Plus, Andanzas had asked if I could move it up in sequence and we do what we can to answer requests.

I am glad that you and others are enjoying the volumes. I am surprised (and flattered) at all the positive feedback I have received and quite shocked at how far the project is ahead of schedule. I had originally estimated one year for the entire 49 volumes. Now we are over 70% complete and it has been less than 4 months.

Thanks. I'm reading a couple of books now that have Marlowe as a secondary character and I'd like to read some of his writing.
