Man-Kzin
I have several of the later Man-Kzin war books that I am tempted to pick up and read. The older books I will need to read in printed form, and I really do not want to deal with any more printed books. Will I be completely lost if I read the later books that I own copies of already without going to get the early books?

No, the stories can be read completely independent of each other with no problems. But if you read them all in the correct order you may know more about some characters and events referred to.
