Calibre 64 logo
What about changing the logo for the 64bit version ?
Such as having "64" emblazoned across it or different colours, etc ? I know it says 64 underneath but I think the logo needs jazzing up a "bit". |

I dont want to give 64 bit calibre a separate identity, it creates confusion, and on non-windows plaforms where 64 bit has existed for years there is no separate identity.

I'm not sure what the motivation would be, and curious what mXb had in mind. To the user there should be no discernible difference. The machine word size is merely an implementation detail.

But hey, you're quite right, the current logo is......traditional......regognisable, trustworthy......safe.....gives a warm glow inside. Not in the least old fashioned. Update it ? What was I thinking of ! |

I'm not commenting on your desire to update it. I was commenting on your apparent desire to have a different logo for the 64 bit version than the 32 bit version.

It could have been a great feature if the upgrade to 64 bits cost money. Who would resist to upgrade then?
