You won't get a legal version of the major Ayn Rand texts. They haven't been released as ebooks. Not even for ready money.
Clearly, objectivists are not very clued-up about technology.

Why not complain to the ayn Rand Institute?

(This site does have extracts from some of her works.)

The only work of Ayn Rand's that is in the US public domain is 'Anthem'. (It's still in copyright elsewhere in the world.)
I just googled on 'Ayn Rand Anthem' and found that it is available in Project Gutenberg and a lot of other places. (Didn't you say that you were a computer scientist? Then a Google search should not be a problem. I recommend it when searching for books) So it should be easy for you to make up an ebook of 'Anthem'.

Yup - already found Anthem in an ebook. I just want the other ones. I will indeed prod the AR institute.
