How many ebooks do you have right now?
I am close to nearing the 1000 ebook mark and was curious how others are doing. Less than half of them are unread because some of these books are replacements for paper books I once read. A hefty portion of the unread ones are freebies which I will delete if I start reading them are they are terrible.
So, how many ebooks do you have? |

I've been collecting (and creating) eBooks for over 20 years, and the "eBooks" folder on my hard disk is currently 19.7GB in size, and contains approximately 17,000 books, by 4,400 different authors. That's 17,000 different books - most of them are stored in multiple formats.

I started off collecting lots of ebooks, but then realised that I'd rather get what I wanted to read, and then read them rather than spend my time collecting. Then my laptop broke, and I lost much of the free stuff that I'd collected. I could collect it again, but why bother? So, I've got a couple of hundred.

My ebooks are my most backed-up data - it would be a personal disaster for me to lose them. I have at least half a dozen different copies of the whole lot, in several different physical locations.

I'm ashamed to say:80!
But I'm picky and I only download what I know I'm going to read/keep. |

Well I don't trust Google books to stay free for ever, so I've downloaded a about 5,000 titles from there and elsewhere.

I have about 850, and that number is growing. I will be starting on scanning and converting my pbooks to ebooks this fall.

I recently downloaded about a thousand free e-books. Since many are from authors I have heard of but never read, I may eventually wind up tossing about half of those. I've bought only one e-Book so far. I also have over 200 (and counting; I have around a thousand to go) I have scanned from p-Books.
