eBook Library Formatting

I download a lot of pdf documents (or convert MS Word docs to pdf) into my reader. The PRS-700 handles them exceptionally well but the eBook Library is frustrating. The eBook Library seems to assign its own titles, owner, etc to many of the documents. For instance, I may have a downloaded pdf file that I name "Piper - Basic Thoughts" but it shows in the eBook Library as "TEMPLATE 5.25x8.qxd". Or, often (always?) if I convert a MS Word document and name it "Piper - Basic Thoughts" it would show as "Microsoft Word - Piper - Basic Thoughts". I cannot find a way to control the naming or author conventions, and eBook Library doesn't allow manipulation of these either. Any thoughts?

the Meta Data in the PDF is set as such. this tool seems to be able to edit it http://www.globalpdf.com/pdfinfoedit...properties.htm

Any decent pdf editor should do it; I do not know however if there are free ones - I use a commercial one NitroPdf with which I just right click the file once it's open in Nitro, I choose document properties, fill in whatever I want as metadata and save.

The 700 displays the author/title exactly as I filled it in.
