Sony ereader commercial

I am not sure if anyone has mentioned it yet, or even saw it! But yesterday there was a commerical by Sony about their ereaders.

I did a double take when I saw what they were talking about! I am taking this as a very good sign!

I saw it too!
It's good to see these companies putting more resources behind promoting these devices.

I looked for the ad on youtube to share it but couldn't find it ..

This NY Times article mentions a commercial with Amy Sedaris for Sony Digital Books as part of a larger campaign they've launched...

http://www.nytimes.com/2009/08/18/bu...ia/18adco.html

Note: There's really nothing reader specific in the article other than the mention of the Amy Sedaris commercial(s).

campaign

Yeah it looks like its part of a campaign on Sony's part for their products in general, I saw the same formatted commercial about their cameras the other day.

Still its cool that there is a ebook reader commerical out there!

sony aims to kick start its ebook range. For the 300/600 series.
IT is good to see they put an effort in it. However, their own store is currently out of stock. This raises the serious question over Epaper Screen maker's ability to fulfill orders...

I can imagine the back order log for the 7 inch 900 model when it comes out...

I've seen it. Not all that impressed -- the humor kind of fell flat. But it's clear that Sony is making a big push.

So, someone remind me: How many people thought that Sony pulling the 500 etc a few weeks ago was proof they was exiting the ebook biz...?
