Meet-Up! 15 August 2009 - 1st Toronto, Canada Meet-up!

Well, after much discussion , extensive polling and considerable arm-twisting , we have upon us a time and place for the 1st Toronto Mobileread.com Meet-up!

DATE: Saturday August 15th, 2009
TIME: Starts from 1:00pm (Hey, it's lunchtime!)

It will be a gathering to see the latest gadgetry (e-ink in all its glory) as well as those tried and true legacy ebook readers (what started it all...) and some in-between attempts...

So, mark it in your day planners, bring your ebook reader and come join us for some lively discussions (Did someone say DRM?...) and general friendliness attributed to Torontonians the world over...

Just wanted to bump this thread to remind everyone it's this weekend. I am happy to get there first and set up a table since it's just up the street from my new place. You will recognize the table by the numerous gadgets---I am bringing my Acer netbook, my Alphasmart Dana, my iPod Touch and my Sony Reader.

What?!?! Two meet-ups in one week? Isn't there a rule against that kinda thing? (searches through the Mobilita Republica Manual of Rules to Ignore) Yep. Here it is: "Rule 147(b) iii - You can't have too much fun but you can have fun if you don't try too much." I'm not sure what that means, which is a good thing. Carry on!

The rules implicity allow it in her case because she's... (sorry, no 'q'...)
