You can save books from Google eBooks on your computer. How else would one get them onto a Sony Reader?

This is probably based on Adobe mobile reader device licensees (Digital Editions Supported Devices), and if so it is actually an undercount - ignoring DRM-free only devices. It certainly includes readers that are no longer sold. Sony has half a dozen for example.
