Mars-based Sci-Fi Ephialtes FREE 14 - 18 March

Gavin E Parker's sci-fi novel Ephialtes is free on Amazon this Monday to Friday.

Ephialtes is part space opera, part military sci-fi and part political thriller. It is set in 2241 and details the fallout arising when the small colony of Marineris on Mars declares independence from the USAN on Earth.

Still reeling from the effects of the recently concluded Fourth World War the president of the USAN decides to send the massive warship Ephialtes to Mars in order to persuade the Martians to reconsider.

The Martians are forced to rely on wit and ingenuity as they build their defences, hoping they will be able to resist their former colonial masters.

Star-crossed lovers Bobby and Askel, a former soldier and a spacecraft designer respectively, find themselves on opposing sides as the crisis reaches its crescendo.

As Ephialtes closes in on Mars the fate of each side hangs desperately in the balance.

Free Kindle copy avialable here (US) and here (UK)
