Free (nook/Kindle/Christianbook) Confessions of St. Augustine [Inspirational Memoir]

The Confessions of St. Augustine by St. Augustine whose Wikipedia entry I'm not going to link because if you're a person of deep religious commitment and don't already know who he is, you really need to be slapped upside the head with a Jesus-fish and do penance for such profound ignorance of your own faith, is free courtesy of Christian publisher Baker's Revell imprint, presumably in some sort of non-public-domain translation since it says "Modern English Version" on the cover.

Currently free @ B&N and Amazon UK, likely to drop in the main store, but only for a very short time. May or may not show up at Christian Book, since their employees may be taking a break for the holiday.

Disproportionately large filesize on the Kindle version, which may be a Topaz. Caveat 1-clicker.

ETA: now a repeat freebie, probably just for one day @ B&N (may also drop in the UK), Amazon UK (new ASIN, slated to drop in the main store), ChristianBook (ADE-DRM ePub available worldwide). Also free this time around @ Kobo & Google Play (both available to Canadians).

I did notice quite a few comments/complaints in the review section that this is an abridged edition, although not marked as such. Something I would like to have for Kindle - looks like there are several affordable versions but I didn't have a chance to check into them today.

It is abbreviated; the introduction states this, but the listing doesn't. I think the listing at the stores ought to.
