2 copies of same book on Paperwhite.

Is there any way to get two copies of the same book on my Kindle? I tried renaming one file and that doesn't seem to work.

You have to change the metadata in one of the eBooks so the Kindle thinks it is a different eBook.

Why on earth would you need 2 copies of the same book?

You could also convert one of them to mobi and one of them to azw3. But mobi is an inferior format, so it probably would be better to edit the metadata of one of the copies (e.g. add an extra dash at the end of the title).

But yeah... again, why? Swipe from the bottom and you can flip through the book without losing your place, you can bookmark locations in the book by tapping the upper right corner of the screen, and there's the all-present "Go To" option next to "Aa" which is pretty much your TOC. Is it for the highlights, what? I don't get it.

Problem is the location of the Kindle books on the Kindle.

I wound up getting 3 copies of the same book on the kindle for pc. Copied the original to a more recognizable name; got 2 copies on k4pc; did a "sync" with the cloud & got the 3rd copy.

I then deleted 2 of them but don't know if it really got deleted from the folder.

If you know where the books are located on the device, getting a 2nd copy is easy.....

I just found accidentally getting two copies of a book (with different titles) onto the Kindle FAR easier than getting them OFF...
