It means nothing if you find no camels in the driveway. The guy might be a non-smoker.

I hate when the things we rely upon decide to go out. Good luck with getting the new one up and running soon.
My GFI sockets are still not working, although they did come on twice for a short time. It is driving me crazy trying to figure out why just those three and not the other three are out. |

Thanks dreams. It's just the timing. Just another "thing" to deal with along with everything else that has to be done before Christmas.
And now I feel a little silly for going off about something so trivial. Last edited by red_phoenix; 12-13-2012 at 04:08 PM. |

Took me a few minutes to catch on... GFI...
You're speaking about electrical sockets! I was thinking 'Girlfriend Interface' and ALWAYS had trouble with those! Stitchawl |

"A Rant" by Stitchawl
When in Singapore, we often breakfast at a chain bakery near our hotel that has the world's very best croissants. Better than any I've eaten, even in France! But I had never seen this bakery chain outside of Singapore or Malaysia. Certainly not in Japan, where every croissant has to have a coating of sugar glaze and the consistency of sponge cake. Yesterday I discovered that this bakery has opened a branch in Kyoto! The smells were enough to send me into rapture... But... my diet was enough to not let me eat any croissants. Now, THAT is a rant!!! Stitchawl |

Yesterday I picked up my new contact lenses. They finally have the silicone hydrogel contacts that also correct my eye disorder but they didn't have them in stock when I got my eyes checked on Tuesday. My left eye had changed a bit and my right eye had stayed the same as a year ago.
I just put them in half an hour ago and they are a lot easier to put in (more rigid than my previous contacts). However, my right eye can't seem to focus properly. I checked and I got the right strength and I didn't switch left and right. I called the customer service and they told me it might take a few days for my eyes to get used to the new contact because it's a different technology. If it hasn't improved by Monday I should call to make an appointment to get it checked out. It's very annoying that it's only my right eye acting up and I hope it gets used to the new contact quickly. My sister and I are going to Amsterdam today, so just in case I get a headache or if I just can't take it any more I packed my glasses, contact holder and solution. |

I have 6 GFI sockets. 3 on each line I am thinking. Only 2 bathroom ones and the outdoor one are out. I do know that when the outdoor one trips the breaker then those other ones are also out. Same with if the a/c is on and I try to use the socket to run my dryer; it trips the breaker. This only happens in the summer when the a/c is on. It seems I can't have all three going at once. A few times the heater (electric/gas) and my hair dryer will cause the socket to click off, but not like the a/c. The master bath one came on for a little bit twice now (when I reset it), but it didn't stay on for longer than a few hours. I was thinking it may be one of the sockets, but now that you mention the circuit breaker, I may check into that. It is very frustrating trying to figure this out and I am trying not to have to have an electrician come out until I have a better idea of what is going on. |

When we moved back into our condo after returning from Thailand, we had an electrician run two more separate lines; one into the kitchen and one into the living room. These are the only three-wire grounded (earthed) lines in the entire house, other than the GFI in the bath. But still, if we turn on the rice cooker, the microwave, and the DeLongi heater at the same time, the circuit blows. Bother!
